EA AntiCheat problem. Game crahes every 5 Minutes
Hi EA team,
I’ve been experiencing a recurring issue with EA Sports FC 26 where the game suddenly closes after a few minutes of gameplay — exactly as if I pressed Alt + F4. There are no freezes, stutters, or lag beforehand — it just instantly exits to desktop without any error message. After weeks of troubleshooting, I’ve confirmed this is caused by EA AntiCheat (Javelin) crashing in the background. In the Windows Event Viewer, I consistently get the following error:
“EA AntiCheat Service terminated unexpectedly (Error 87 – invalid parameter)”
Source: Service Control Manager
This isn’t a performance issue. The game runs completely smooth and stable until the AntiCheat service fails. Here’s everything I’ve already done (multiple times):
- Full Windows 11 reinstall (clean setup)
- Secure Boot and UEFI activated in BIOS
- TPM 1.2 active (system does not support TPM 2.0)
- Reinstalled EA App, FC 26, and EA AntiCheat
- Updated all drivers, BIOS, and firmware
- Performed clean boot, disabled overlays, and closed background apps
Despite all this, the issue persists — the EA AntiCheat service still crashes, and the game closes after 5–20 minutes.
This problem also existed for me in FC 25, but back then, after many restarts, it sometimes worked. In FC 26, it happens every time. It seems that EA AntiCheat might have a compatibility problem with TPM 1.2 systems or older Intel CPUs (i5-4000 series), even though the game runs smoothly and meets all other requirements.
Please, could this be escalated to the AntiCheat development or technical team for review? I can provide DxDiag, screenshots, or Event Viewer logs if needed. Thank you for your time — I truly hope this can be addressed, as it seems to affect some users with older but still capable systems.
