Error connecting to pro clubs mode (FC 26)

Platform: PlayStation 5

I’m able to login to ea account on my console and connect and play ultimate team, however when I connect to pro clubs mode, I see a blank screen with the error message “unable to connect to the EA servers. Please check your internet connection and try again”

I’m able to play other live mode game modes such as ultimate team and seasons, so clearly it isn’t a network issue. The issue seems to be specific to connecting to pro clubs mode.

Things I’ve tried so far:

reset local profile, unlink and link ea account again, reset ps and download the game again. Nothing seems to fix it.

ill really appreciate help with this!
