FC 26 PC Ultimate Team crash caused by NX execution fault in EA Anti-Cheat
Platform
Game: EA SPORTS FC 26
Platform: PC
Mode affected: Ultimate Team
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (Zen 1)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super 4GB
RAM: 16.0GB
OS: Windows 10 x64 (Build 19041)
Description
Ultimate Team consistently crashes to desktop during initialization on PC.
Other game modes (Career Mode, Kick-Off) load and run normally.
Expected Result
Ultimate Team loads normally.
Actual Result
The game crashes to desktop with no on-screen error.
I analyzed multiple crash dumps using WinDbg.
All crashes are identical and show a user-mode NX (DEP) execution fault originating from EA Anti-Cheat’s code virtualization.
Key findings:
Exception Code: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation)
Failure Bucket: SOFTWARE_NX_FAULT_INVALID_POINTER_EXECUTE
IP_ON_HEAP: Attempt to execute non-executable heap memory
Faulting process: FC26.exe
Stack trace includes: ANTICHEAT_VIRTUALIZE_CODEMARKER
The instruction pointer jumps to a heap/private memory address that is not part of any loaded module, and execution is blocked by DEP/NX.
What I Have Already Tried
Disabled Core Isolation / Memory Integrity
Disabled SVM (AMD virtualization) in BIOS
Verified Hyper-V is not installed or active
Clean uninstall + reinstall of EA Anti-Cheat
Disabled overlays and background software
Rebooted between all changes
