Gamebreaking Bug – Input Completely Desyncs
I want to report an issue that I believe is far more serious than it looks and may be affecting gameplay integrity in FC 26.
For context:
I’ve been playing this franchise since 2007, and my Ultimate Team club was created in 2011. In all these years, across multiple FIFA/FC titles, I have never experienced anything like this.
Here is what happening for the past 2/3 weeks:
- Usually, First half is smooth (responsive input, clean ball rolls, normal jockey).
- At halftime, the game shows a black screen right before the second half loads (not a full crash — the match continues).
- When the second half starts, gameplay becomes completely desynced:
- Ball rolls in the wrong direction
- Passes ignores my left-stick direction
- Jockey feels heavy and delayed
- Players react as if input vectors were being misread
This is not lag, not controller drift, and not internet-related:
- Stable wired connection
- Issue reproducible offline
- Closing and reopening the game restores normal gameplay momentarily
This strongly points to a broken gameplay, where the engine fails to properly reset input buffers, animations, or gameplay state after a visual glitch.
What concerns me most:
- This does not cause a full crash, so many players may assume they are “playing badly” instead of realizing the match is technically broken.
- Once this happens, the rest of the match feels fundamentally unfair, especially in competitive modes.
I’m posting this to ask:
- Is EA aware of this gameplay degradation?
- Is it being investigated as a gameplay integrity issue?
- Are other long-time players experiencing input desync specifically after halftime glitches?
This isn’t about tuning or skill — it’s about the engine entering an invalid state mid-match.
After nearly two decades playing this series, this is the first time I’ve seen a single visual glitch completely break input behavior inside a match. So frustrating (and infuriating).
