This doesn’t sound like a broken controller. That constant upward movement usually means the game is reading a stuck “up” input from somewhere, even if other games don’t show it.
Since your controller works fine elsewhere, the issue is most likely how FC 26 is handling inputs.
First thing I’d try is unplugging everything except the controller, including mouse and keyboard for a minute, just to rule out input conflicts. These games sometimes pick up multiple devices and start acting weird in menus.
Also make sure nothing like DS4Windows, reWASD or any remapping software is running in the background. Those can send duplicate inputs without you realizing it. Same with Steam. Even if you bought the game on Epic, if Steam is open it can interfere, so close it completely and try again.
If you’re using Bluetooth, switch to a wired connection and test. Bluetooth can sometimes cause weird input behavior in certain games.
One more thing, even slight stick drift can show up in FC because its deadzone can be pretty sensitive. Try nudging your left stick down slightly and let go. If the cursor stops moving, then it’s minor drift and the game is just picking it up more aggressively than others.
At this point it’s almost always either input conflict or sensitivity, not a hardware failure. Fix that and the issue should go away.
