I have the exact same issue the game ignores servers that are near my location 29-30ms and routes me 99% of the times towards servers that are far away from my location 60-70-120ms++
and yes i have that setting in online match making based on location ip set as on already and its not helping at all
The only workaround i found to constantly get matched/routed in servers near my location was using a "paid gaming vpn" which seems to heavily increase my chances of being constantly routed to servers near me 29-30ms so its not an issue of bein matched in farther servers because there arent available games at that moment...etc cuz when i use the paid gaming vpn its constantly finding games for me and routing me towards servers near my location,
BUT why do we have to use a paid third party software to get a decent experience by being matched in servers near us instead of ea just simply fixing their routing and adding filters to at least give us the possibility to filter out games above a certain ping automatically
