Live Event First Match Disconnect Issue (PC / Steam) – Ongoing Server Problem

While playing EA FC 26, I consistently experience an issue only in Live Events (such as Ultimate Gauntlet, TOTY Events, etc.), not in Rivals or Champions. The problem is that the very first match of a Live Event frequently disconnects with the message “connection lost”, right after matching with an opponent. This happens repeatedly and feels completely random.

I’ve searched through Reddit and forums, and it seems many other users are reporting the exact same issue, especially in Live Events.

I am a PC (Steam) user, my internet connection is stable, my PC specifications are more than sufficient, no background programs are running that could affect network stability.

Given all this, it strongly appears to be an EA server-side issue, specifically related to Live Events matchmaking. The most frustrating part is that there is no clear cause and no user-side fix. I sincerely hope EA acknowledges this problem and applies a proper fix, because it negatively impacts limited-time Live Events where a single disconnect can ruin the entire run.
