My players run towards the ball without me controlling them (Ultimate Team)

I have an issue in Ultimate Team where my players randomly run toward the ball, going out of position. Also, they are sometimes unable to run in a straight line as they **bleep** side to side. Pressing is also very difficult because I am unable to control my players properly.
