Nordic matchmaking routing causing delayed gameplay in Denmark

I am located in Denmark (North Jutland / Thy) and play on PS5 with wired Ethernet.

I consistently experience highly inconsistent matchmaking and gameplay quality in both FUT Champs and Rivals.

Pattern observed:
• Early morning (approx. 07:00–08:30): sometimes matched locally (Danish players), gameplay feels fast and responsive (although other mornings are inconsistent again)
• After ~09:00 and throughout the rest of the day: almost exclusively matched vs Sweden, Finland, Russia
• Ping remains acceptable (around 30 ms, 4–5 bars), but gameplay becomes delayed and asymmetric

While the connection metrics appear fine, the in-game experience is clearly disadvantaged on my side:
• Noticeable input delay
• Slower player reactions and animations
• Delayed tackles and interceptions
• Opponent appears unaffected, able to play at full speed

This results in situations where I lose matches heavily (e.g. 4–0 or 5–0) against opponents who, on paper (similar rank, form, results), are not stronger players - but clearly benefit from smoother gameplay conditions.

Under these conditions, it becomes extremely difficult to:
• Compete fairly in FUT Champs
• Progress consistently in Rivals
• Improve rank or results in a meaningful way

This does not appear to be packet loss or local network instability.
Same setup, same connection, same ISP, same NAT Type 2, UPnP enabled.

German opponents routed via Central EU consistently feel more balanced and fair, while Nordic east routing repeatedly creates a noticeable gameplay disadvantage despite similar latency values.

This suggests the issue may be related to matchmaking radius expansion and server cluster routing rather than raw ping.

• How matchmaking prioritizes server clusters versus latency
• Whether regional preference or latency caps are applied
• Why local or balanced matchmaking only seems possible in narrow and inconsistent time windows
• How competitive integrity is ensured when one player experiences clear gameplay delay while the other does not
