PC – Controller input freezes causing stuck / held inputs after unfreeze
On PC, controller input randomly freezes for a few seconds. During these freezes, no inputs are processed. When the game unfreezes, the last input is often stuck as if it is being held:
- Buttons act as if continuously pressed
- Joystick directions remain active even after release
This causes random player movement, repeated actions, and uncontrollable behavior. Issue occurs in menus, SBCs, and matches. Inputs should stop immediately when released. What actualy happen: After an input freeze, the game fails to detect input release and keeps inputs active.- Happens offline and online
- Multiple controllers tested
- Keyboard/mouse disabled
- Normal temperatures, no throttling
- EA FC 25 works perfectly on same system
- Appears to be an input state handling bug in FC 26 PC version
Hardware
- On PC (Windows 11).
- CPU: Intel Core i5-1135G7
- GPU: Intel Iris Xe
- RAM: 8 GB
- Storage: SSD
What i tried
- Multiple controllers tested (same issue)
- Keyboard/mouse disabled (no change)
- Temperatures are normal (no thermal throttling)
- EA FC 25 works perfectly on the same system.
Last report wasn't full.
