PC: GPU Temps Unusually High in Menu

Looking at my GPU, I have a usage of 100%, and a hotspot temperature of 95 degrees Celsius just in the menus. When I go into a game, that drops to about 80-90 degrees. Now, I'm aware that 95 is well within limits, but why is the menu being so demanding on the GPU?

All graphical settings are set to low/off. I am on 1440p 144Hz.

Specs:
GPU: AMD Sapphire pulse 6700XT
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X

  • Okay, after playing around with some settings, switching to "Cutscene performance" to "Half Frame Rate" and restarting the game remedies the issue. You must have a frame rate limit set in-game. This will cap the menus at half that, reducing the load on the GPU.
