Players energy won’t reset

Playing Live Start Points Career Mode and playing in the Men’s International Tournament, the season ends after group stage, and new season begins before round of 16, from that point on my players energy won’t reset no matter what I set the “Training Plan” to, so I’m left playing the round of 16 through the final with all my players with ZERO ENERGY.
