Sending me to EU servers from Asia in UT, on PS4, ping 300

I'm in Xiamen, China. its been 3 days since the game is sending me to European server. I'm certain. My ping is 300. People that I match have their default user languages set to Polish, Dutch, French, Spanish... This cannot happen. As much as I'd love to play against my fellow Europeans, that's simply not possible from distance. I don't get it why would the game send me to a server that's 10k kilometers away. There is HK server which is just near my location, Tokyo, Singapore... both relatively close. I never had this issue before. I really don't know what to do.
