Server allocation mistakenly changed from Los Angeles to Oregon

Until recently I was consistently getting ~5ms ping in online matches (Rivals/Champs), which is consistent with the Los Angeles game data center. In the past few weeks my ping has moved to a steady ~30ms with no changes to my setup, ISP, or network. A region ping test confirms I'm now connecting to the Oregon data center rather than Los Angeles.

  • Previous ping: ~5ms (consistent, months)
  • Current ping: ~30ms (consistent, steady — not spikes or jitter)
  • Other online games unaffected; latency to LA endpoints outside FC 26 remains ~5ms
  • Approximate Location Matchmaking is enabled

This appears to be an allocation/routing change on EA's side rather than a connection problem. I've seen a similar report from a Vancouver player whose ping jumped after the late-May update.

Could someone check whether Southern California players are being allocated to Oregon instead of the Los Angeles data center, and whether this is intended?

You won't get a response from Ea because they don't give a **bleep** about us. Same problem in west Africa where we get connected to European servers instead of Nigeria servers.
