Since this got worse after maintenance and your Companion App still works, this doesn’t look like an internet or PS5 issue anymore. It’s very likely an EA server/account sync problem.
Try unlinking and relinking your EA account:
Go to the EA Account website and log in
1. Open Connections
2. Unlink your PlayStation account
3. Wait 5–10 minutes
4. Re-link your PlayStation account
5. Restart your PS5 and try FC again
This refreshes your EA login token and often fixes connection issues after updates/maintenance.
