Severe High Ping in EA SPORTS FC 26 Pro Clubs
Hello EA team,
All affected players in this report, myself and my entire Pro Clubs community, are Brazilian players located in South America. This is important to clarify because this is not an individual or local internet problem, but a regional routing and server assignment issue.
In EAFC 25, Brazilian players had consistently low ping in Pro Clubs when matches were connected to Brazilian servers. In my case, my ping was usually between 23 and 27 ms. Some friends, especially those located in the Southeast region of Brazil, regularly played with ping below 20 ms. Players in the Northeast usually had slightly higher values, but still generally below 40 ms, sometimes around 35 to 38 ms.
In other words, when the match was correctly routed to Brazilian servers and the player’s connection was stable, ping in Brazil was always below 40 ms. This was the normal and expected behavior.
In EA SPORTS FC 26, however, our ping in Pro Clubs League matches is now commonly between 70 and 90 ms, frequently reaching 100 ms or more. This level of latency is completely unacceptable for Brazilian players and clearly indicates that Pro Clubs matches are not being routed to Brazilian servers.
What makes the issue even clearer is that in Rush mode our ping is excellent when the match is routed to Brazilian servers. This proves that our connections are stable and that EA does have functional servers in Brazil. However, in Pro Clubs, matches behave as if we are being connected to servers outside Brazil, most likely in Chile, which explains the sudden and persistent increase in latency.
In addition to the latency problem, there is also a matchmaking issue in Pro Clubs that seems to be making the situation worse. We are frequently matched against the same clubs over and over again, and there are long delays to find matches even with filters fully open. This suggests that the matchmaking pool is too restrictive.
This limited matchmaking appears to contribute to matches being redirected to non Brazilian servers, especially when the available opponent clubs are geographically closer to servers in Chile. As a result, Brazilian clubs are forced into higher latency matches simply to be able to find a game.
The Pro Clubs matchmaking system needs to be reviewed. Elite Division clubs should be able to face Division 1 clubs and similar adjacent divisions more easily, in order to increase the number of available matches and avoid excessive waiting times. Right now, it is sometimes very difficult to find a match at all, which further harms the experience.
These issues are not related to internet providers, hardware, or local networks. They are South America routing and matchmaking problems specific to Pro Clubs in EA SPORTS FC 26.
Pro Clubs is a community driven mode that depends heavily on low latency, fast matchmaking, and responsiveness. With ping levels of 80 to 100 ms and long matchmaking times, the mode becomes nearly unplayable and directly harms the Pro Clubs community in Brazil and South America.
These issues must be addressed immediately. If EA does not fix Pro Clubs server routing and matchmaking in South America and continues to ignore these reports, many Brazilian communities will stop purchasing EAFC in the future. This is not a threat, but a consequence of a mode that lives or dies by its community.
We ask EA to investigate Pro Clubs routing and matchmaking in South America, ensure Brazilian players are connected to Brazilian servers as expected, improve matchmaking flexibility between divisions, and provide an official acknowledgment and timeline for a fix.
Thank you.
