Signing in on Nintendo Switch

I've been trying to sign in to my EA account to play FC 26 online but it takes hours for the email to come through with the code and then when I put it in I'm told it's wrong.

I've tried the QR code as well but when I got into the page my phone has scans, it doesn't even try to do anything, just says something went wrong.

Anyone know how I can get it to work please? I know it's not an internet or email issue.
