The famous keyboard + mouse issue strikes again!
I opened the game for the first time, configured my keyboard controls, it showed keyboard only, then saved my settings. I tried to run my first kick off match, where i discovered that i had to use keyboard + mouse. This couldn't be changed from the in-match settings nor from the main settings.
There is no option to choose an input method! This issue re-occurs year after year.
I need to switch the input method to keyboard only. There's no setting available to make this change. Just an un-selectable picture of a keyboard+mouse!
My problem is finally solved.
I was advised by technical support to disconnect all peripherals before running the game. I happen to have a "Razer Tartarus Pro" connected to the PC. After disconnecting it and running the game, I found the option to change control method inside the settings menu. I could choose Keyboard only and restarted the game to allow for keys remapping.
In the first game, again Keyboard+mouse was reactivated but this time I could pause the game, go to settings and change it again. Now this setting remains unchanged (Keyboard only) with my reconfigured buttons and now I can reconnect my "Razer Tartarus Pro". Sometimes when the game starts I get the message "New input detected" but it doesn't change nothing.
Thanks for technical support but that wasn't the first chat with technical support and even if this was a glitch it should be announced somewhere. I just wasted more than a month without playing and almost missed the first season.
