Ultimate Team possible glitch

I was playing in a game of Rivals where I won 3-2,but when I went into the rewards post game menu it said the “EA couldn’t respond” error and kicked me from Ultimate Team and when I joined back it said I disconnected and that game counted as a loss. Was the opponent cheating or what is it?
