Ultimate team servers not responding

Every time I try to change a squad player from my ultimate team and go back it kicks me to the main menu and tells me that the Ultimate team servers are not responding and it doesn't save the changes that I have made to the squad!!I literally Just Bought the game. Ive tried repairing the game and redownloading and nothing works I checked the ea server status website and that says that everything is working at this point I'm thinking about a refund and I can't say I recommend this game at all not even at a discount.
