Unstable connection every second game
I am reaching out because I am experiencing severe, game-breaking connection issues in FC 26 (Seasons and Pro Clubs) that I never encountered in FC 25 or any other multiplayer title.
Despite having a high-end fiber connection and being fully wired via Ethernet, I am frequently placed into matches with a constant 260ms–280ms ping. This happens "out of thin air" and makes the game completely unplayable.
- Local Speed Test: 9ms Ping / 913 Mbps Download / 61 Mbps Upload (Solid fiber performance).
- Match History: As shown in my Connection Quality Report, my matches are wildly inconsistent. I go from a perfect 30ms game to a disastrous 289ms game in the same session.
- Network Setup: Wired Ethernet. No packet loss or jitter issues in other applications or games.
- ISP: My ISP ranks well in my area, and I had zero issues with these same settings in previous years.
It appears the game is occasionally routing me to servers in the wrong region or failing to respect matchmaking ping limits. It is disheartening that three weeks after purchase, I cannot enjoy the game because of these "outlier" matches that destroy the competitive experience. I have seen similar complaints dating back to launch, and it's disappointing to see these routing issues still persist six months later.
It’s incredibly frustrating when you have top-tier fiber internet but the game treats you like you're playing on a dial-up connection from across the ocean.
