Appeal the market ban

Hello EA Support Team,

I am writing to appeal the Transfer Market ban placed on my account for alleged "coin distribution." This is a complete misunderstanding by your automated system.

My entire strategy in Ultimate Team consists of legitimate market trading (buying and reselling). I spend time monitoring the market to buy players when their prices are low and resell them when demand increases and their prices go up. This is a standard, fair-play economic mechanic within the game.

I have never used external software, bots, auto-buyers, or engaged in transferring coins between accounts. All my transactions have been done manually through the console or the official companion app, always respecting the price ranges established by EA.

I kindly request that a human agent reviews my account's transaction history manually. You will clearly see that it is simply successful trading and not rule-breaking.

Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you. To be honest, based on the feedback of many others, the algorithm for coin selling and trading mistakenly takes out regular and legal players as well. I once read a quote which sums this up: EA would rather punish 1000 innocent people than have 1 coin seller be active. Although I start to believe this being true, I do feel this is the wrong way the manage your game.

    nickyvds_ft,

I understand the frustration. I wish I could offer more insight into what could have triggered your ban, but I genuinely don't have that information. I'll share the lack of detailed information in ban notices as feedback.

First of all: Thank you for actually reading my message. You are the first person that actually takes time to talk about this. This is a compliment for you, but a sad story for EA as a company.

This was in the initial email:

    Here's why:

You can earn EA SPORTS FC™ Coins by playing Football Ultimate Team™ and by trading within the Transfer Market, but you can't purchase Coins or have Coins transferred between accounts. Buying or selling Coins through a third-party is against our rules. This means that you or your account is suspected of participating in the purchase of a Football Ultimate Team™ item for the purpose of transferring Coins or Football Ultimate Team™ items from one account to another.

Giving away Coins is also against the rules, for example, in exchange for promises, favors, or for other purposes outside of the game which is considered to be Coin trading. If you participate in a giveaway, you may be putting your account at risk by exposing your account to stolen or illegitimately generated Coins.

I have no idea what this could be about. I have been doing the exact same method for months. Buying players that are in packs and which I believe could rise in price after the promo ends. For example I bought Koulibaly FoF card for 16-18k and listed them for 29k hoping they will increase in value after the promo ends. A few get sold earlier, which I assumed were lazy buyers. On the other hand, I have not bought any expensive cards as I was saving for August (as I have some free time to play). I have gradually been building up my points over months and months of hard work without making any big purchases. There is no logic way why someone would just store coins and be involved in coin transfers at the same time.

That's why I need more information. I honestly have no idea why I'm punished and I'm afraid to make the same mistake again. I need details of what went wrong.

    nickyvds_ft,

You should have gotten an email with more information when you got the ban that should explain why it was placed on your account. Unfortunately we don't have the tools to look into accounts here on the forums so I can't check on my end what could have caused it.

You are mixing things up. Getting through to a team means you expect to have an actual conversation with a human being. You can ask a million questions, but you don't get a reply to these questions. You only get the generic reply. I have no idea what I supposedly did wrong so my very simple question is, please let me know what I did wrong.

So tell me honestly, if you ask someone a question and they reply with a response that is not answering any of your questions and is just a generic reply, would you be happy?

    Hey nickyvds_ft,

You're telling me two different things here; can you not get through to the ToS team, or are they sending generic replies? Because it's true that they use a template in their responses, but that's to ensure fairness between cases. I can assure you that they look into any disputes that are brought their way.

I don't think you understand the issue... we can't get in contact with the ToS team and they just keep ignoring us while sending generic replies. You should get in contact with them and see they handle cases properly.

  • Just like many others, I am in the exact same situation. Sadly we are all getting ignored.
