Companion app glitch lost me my 90 rated Messi evo

So I was completed a part of the trophy titans upgrade pack, filtered gold rare max 88 in the squad builder and in the squad was an 86 rated gold rare Messi. I therefore submitted the squad only to find that the companion app had magically transformed my 90 rated evo Messi with icon chemistry into his base card and placed him into the sbc. 
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Chat advisor said there’s nothing they can do which is amazing as I had been working on the evo for about 3 months 😂
