EA Help Inaction – Missing Evo Chain Player "Already Evolved" Bug Unresolved

Hello everyone,

I am sharing my full experience regarding a serious issue I have been dealing with in EA FC Ultimate Team, as I believe it may help other players who are facing the same or similar problem.

The player involved is Winter Wild Icon Thierry Henry, which I was upgrading through a chain evolution system (Birthday Brunch Evo chain).

On 24.03.2026, while progressing through this evo chain, I encountered a bug that displayed the message: “you already have an evolved version of this player.” Because of this error, I was unable to continue the evolution path normally. In order to fix the situation and continue the chain, I quick sold the player on the same day, expecting to recover it later through the Quick Sell Recovery system.

However, after this, the player never appeared in my Quick Sell Recovery list. I checked multiple times via both the Companion App and Web App, across different dates and pages, but the item was completely missing on my side.

Over the following two weeks, I contacted EA Support repeatedly and opened multiple tickets regarding this issue. Each time, I had to re-explain the entire situation from the beginning, and I was told that the issue was being “investigated,” “escalated,” or “sent to the game team.” However, no actual resolution or concrete update was provided during this period.

Later, a supervisor confirmed something important: the missing item is actually visible in their system, but because the Quick Sell Recovery time window has passed, it is no longer available for me to retrieve on my end. This means the item technically exists in their system but is not accessible from my account.

At this point, I also want to highlight something important. During multiple support conversations, I was repeatedly told that the issue was being forwarded to the game team, but there was no clear progress, no timeline, and no direct resolution. It felt like the issue was continuously being passed between departments without any real action being taken to resolve the actual problem.

To summarize:

  • The player is Winter Wild Icon Thierry Henry
  • The issue happened during a Birthday Brunch Evo chain
  • A bug triggered the “already have evolved version” message
  • The player was quick sold to continue the chain
  • The item never appeared in Quick Sell Recovery
  • EA Support confirmed the item is visible in their system
  • However, it cannot be recovered due to expired recovery time

This situation is extremely frustrating because the issue was not caused intentionally by me, but directly related to a gameplay/system bug. Despite spending a significant amount of time contacting support, explaining the issue, and waiting for updates, I have not received a proper resolution.

I am posting this not only to share my case, but also because I am concerned that other players may be going through the same issue and receiving the same “we are forwarding it to the game team” responses without any real outcome.

At this stage, I am simply looking for a fair resolution, since the item is still present in the system but not accessible on my account.
