Inconsistent Gameplay MEGA ISSUE‼️

This game is very manual-based and defending is a lot different than previous years! I would recommend looking up how to better your defense!

Manual defending is in no way connected to inconsistent gameplay. Yes, defending is manual and it is better than previous years, but if gameplay is inconsistent none of your players make any movement in pitch and there is a huge button delay during some games. So bettering defense in no way is going to help with inconsistent gameplay. 

siv283​ sounds like more of a connection issue then! Best advice would be to be connected via Ethernet for best results (but not guaranteed results as server location also play a big factor).

How come my opponents defenders always take the ball perfectly without him even having to use them?

It's better to track the run with a player that is not on your defensive line and 2nd man pressure with another player not on your defensive line. This way, you're not taking defenders out of position, and they can often force an auto-switch to take the ball away. It'll take some practice to execute right, but it helps a lot!

Izzy_FUT_Dubs​  Dude I've been playing this game for 10 years, don't give me Ethernet connection advise. I've done everything I humanly can to reduce the delay and lag. I've a 1gig Ethernet connection with a high res monitor and wired controller. But xonsole gameplay is still horrible, I've played in PC and I know the difference. So unless u have a solution for console which I highly doubt you will since you're a volunteer for ea, please be truthful at least to some extent

siv283​ I've been playing for 20-something. Input lag and server issues have plagued this game since the inception of FUT. Just because you have good internet does not mean you won't have connection issues.

Izzy_FUT_Dubs​ Ok so if ea confirms my connection is good by doing all their stupid tests and if there's inconsistent gameplay how is my connection the problem here? I'm just talking about the server issues and the inconsistent gameplay. And if you're a PC player and a console player please don't kid yourself by saying the gameplay is the same for both. 

Problem with the EA staff or volunteers, the first response to every post is  a connection issue. They never want to say, it’s a mistake, and we are working on a fix. Everytime. Your internet is at fault. 
I get told that all the time, I run a hardwired connection, I have 500mbps to my PS. I score 1 point from a maximum and get all the issues you say about

but I can answer the difference between PC and console. The delay is due to the connection to the Tv or a monitor and length of cable being used. Most hdmi cables used are 2-3 metres as tvs are normally on the wall, as opposed to a 1 meter cable maximum on display port. 
also a TV is always slower than a monitor on latency, even when game mode is turned on

Oldman_Sparky_YT​ I've got one better for you: Git Gud. If your internet connection and all of the things you listed are so perfect, the only thing left is your own skill in the matter. It's very possible, you're not good enough to beat the opponent but are looking to scapegoat your lack of skill to it being due to something else.
