I've moved some more posts of reports claiming to have received a gold version instead of TOTS into this thread.
Please let us know the exact name of the pack and player that you've received.
As EA_Hux already mentioned, it's intended that the Gold Starting-XI pack is indeed only giving out Gold players. The same might be for some Player Picks but I can get this confirmed if you let us know which pack you opened.
