EA and Steam account connection

I have a problem with EA and Steam account connection. I played FC26 on steam since July, and then subscribed to EA Play Pro in the EA App to play FC27. Despite the fact that my EA and Steam accounts were connected even before I started playing FC26, i got a "new profile" in FC27, because it said in the game i started playing "Est. Sep 2026". I don't really understand it because it is the same platform, pc-pc. This is a problem because of this i wont be able to get the rewards in FC27 that i did objectives for in FC26.

    If by a "new profile" you mean an entirely different account, then that is working as intended. It has to be the same EA account and the same Steam account. If either of those two accounts is not the original one you played on, then the rewards and dates would not be accurate. We cannot change that, I'm afraid.

    That information would be located here: FC 27 Featured Help

    Search the info under account linking. That is where all of this is located. Simply being the same platform does not matter. They have to be the original accounts that were linked.

    _sbarni_09​ At some point the accounts were changed. That is the only way this happens. You said it yourself you had a new profile. The reason it did not work is in your initial message itself. Sadly, these rewards will not be applied if that is the case. We have no way to change that. This would be something you speak to live support about, not a CM as we are not live support.

    "They have to be the original accounts that were linked." I don't really understand this statement. So what you are saying is it doesn't matter if i connected my original steam account to my current EA account? Respectfully wha is the point of connecting steam and ea accounts then?
