I need help with this game !?

Hi, I’ve been trying to get the game to work, but without any success.

I play on a PS5, use Cat8 cables, and have a 1000/1000 fiber connection. I live in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The game is completely unplayable. I’ve tried absolutely everything, but it’s incredibly sluggish, and the players have zero responsiveness. There’s no difference whatsoever between using bronze players or gold players. My ping is good—I’ll attach my results—and I’ve even been in touch with my ISP, who confirmed that my connection is performing extremely well. I don’t have any issues with any other games; the problem is specific to EA FC. I’d be grateful for any answers or tips you might have.

Every single player I face runs circles around my players, who just stand there like statues. Before I can even react on the controller, my entire team has been dribbled past and a goal is scored—and we’re talking about Division 9! I can’t make tackles, I can’t dribble, I can’t pass, I can’t run; my players just don’t move, the team lines don’t hold together, and it makes no difference which game mode I play—the game is completely unplayable. It doesn’t matter if the controller is connected via USB-C or not, and the time of day I play makes no difference either.

Turn on latency indications in the settings then head over to Online Seasons. Pick your favorite real world team or whoever and proceed to a match.

Let us know the following. What was the latency? Did it fluctuate much? Was the game smooth?

    Thanks.

  • I have a 16 ms ping for three matches in a row, yet the game feels sluggish and player reactions are delayed; I am using a USB-C cable for the controller.

And these were performed in Online Seasons?

Have you exited the game and re connected?  You might hit a different AWS server closer to you.

yes it was them, I tried turning off and logging back in with no results, I haven't gotten the game to work since I got it when it came out, it has behaved the same since the start

  • I must say that you treat your customers very poorly.

I have paid for a product that does not work; yet, instead of helping me get the game running, you ask me to play a few online matches—and when I tell you that there is no significant difference, you bury your heads in the sand and pretend the problem does not exist.

Quite an interesting way to deal with your customer base.

How is your latency today in games?

Do you ever have any smooth games?

Are any downloads being done on your home connection or is it idle when you are gaming.

Cat 8 is going to offer you nothing over CAT6 for gaming.

  • My ping in games like CoD is 12 ms with an excellent server connection; the same applies to Fortnite, Hunt, and others. In FC 27, I have a 16 ms connection. When I run tests on your site, the results show 99.9% stability with no packet loss or jitter—yet when I go online, the gameplay is incredibly sluggish, slow, clunky, and completely unresponsive. EA FC just doesn't work properly. I’ve attached some of my test results so you can see for yourselves that the data and the actual in-game behavior don't align at all. It makes no difference whether I use a Cat8 or Cat6 cable—I’ve tried both, and naturally, there’s no change. Still, when you’ve spent money on games, you end up grasping at straws, hoping to get them to work. In any case, there is no reason for the game to behave this way; my test results are excellent, and my internet is stable and fast—a 1000/1000 Mbps connection. Nothing else is being downloaded while I play.
