Same issue here on PS5. FC 26 works on the same console and network, FC 27 doesn’t.
Every time I launch FC 27, it fails to connect to my EA account, and trying Ultimate Team or Rush gives the same thing:
“You have lost your online connection. Check your home network. You will not be able to access FC’s online features until you can reconnect to EA Servers.”
No error code.
I captured my PS5’s network traffic to check whether it really is my home network. It isn’t:
- No DNS failures. Every EA lookup resolves normally (spring25.client.blazeredirector.ea.com, qoscoordinator.gameservices.ea.com, accounts.grpc.ea.com, and others).
- No dropped connections. The connection to the EA game server stays up the whole time, with no resets or retransmissions, including at the moment the error appears. QoS pings to around 17 EA servers are answered with negligible loss.
- FC 27 stops right after EA account sign-in. It connects to accounts.grpc.ea.com, makes its first sign-in calls, and then never contacts any of the services that come after sign-in. There’s no eafc27.service/content lookup, no Ultimate Team servers, no stats or friends services.
- FC 26 continues past that point. Same console, same network, same EA sign-in server, a few minutes later: within seconds of sign-in it loads eafc26.service.easports.com, fcas/utas (Ultimate Team), stats, friends and so on, and everything works.
Already tried: full console restarts, turning off my VPN, and confirming FC 26 connects fine. So the “check your home network” message is misleading in my case: the connection never drops. FC 27 just stops after sign-in.
I’ve attached a packet capture of FC 27 failing. Sign-in to accounts.grpc.ea.com happens at about 12:03:04 WIB (UTC+7) on 31 October, and no FC 27 online services are ever requested afterwards. I also have a capture of FC 26 working on the same console and network, which I can share if useful.
Please fix otherwise I'll request for a refund ASAP.
