FC 27 Connection Stability Issues During Matches

Hello EA Support,

I’m experiencing a connection stability issue in EA SPORTS FC 27 on PS5.

My internet connection is wired directly to my PS5. My normal ping is usually around 30–40 ms, but during matches I sometimes experience noticeable connection instability, including sudden changes in responsiveness and gameplay delay.

I ran the EA Connection Quality test and got the following results:

  • Connection Score: 85
  • Ping: 49.69 ms
  • Jitter: 7.6 ms
  • Packet Loss: 0.03%

My packet loss is very low and my jitter is relatively low, but I still experience instability during actual matches. I would like to know if you can check my connection to the EA game servers/data center and determine whether there is an issue with routing, server connection quality, or anything on EA’s side.

I am located in Saudi Arabia and I play on PS5 using a wired Ethernet connection.

Could you please check my connection history and the EA server/data center I am being connected to, and let me know if there is anything affecting my connection stability?

    I'm experiencing the same issue in the NA East region it'll jump from 60ms to 300 and the game on grounds has become unplayable for me

    EA FC 27 ping is a disaster .Poor routing high jitter  . few days ago i was playing FC26 perfectly . now with fc27 is unplayable . "from Algeria "

    same thing here, wifi is great on every other game but on fc 27 it is terrible, makes the game unplayable

    Same issue on my end, normal ping is 48 but fluctuate in game even though connexion quality is around 80-84 located in mauritius. Please consider adding more servers in africa, there is a good player base on our continent which is neglected.

    While CMs can't inspect real-time server routing or individual account connection logs, sudden jitter spikes on the console usually come down to local DNS resolution, router NAT handling, or profile sync hiccups.

    Here are a few quick steps to help stabilize your connection to the game servers:

    • Set Custom DNS on PS5: Go to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection, press the Options button on your LAN connection, select Advanced Settings, and set DNS to Manual. Try Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1).
    • Enable UPnP on Your Router: Log into your router’s admin settings via a web browser and ensure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled to keep port routing open during match handshakes.
    • Restart Network Equipment: Power cycle your modem and router for a full 60 seconds to clear out stale ISP routing cache.
    • Clear Corrupt Save Profile: Go to PS5 Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Console Storage > Delete and remove your Personal Settings 1 file (your online club progress is saved on the servers, but this resets any corrupt local network flags).
