FC 27 download fails: zero byte archive / archiveSize null (EA app, PC)
I purchased EA SPORTS FC 27 directly through the EA app on PC, but every download attempt fails before any data is downloaded. Other games download normally in the same EA app.
Troubleshooting completed:
- Cleared the EA app cache using App Recovery.
- Cancelled the download and created a new installation task.
- Tried both Simplified Chinese (zh_CN) and English (en_US). Both fail with the same error.
- The installation folder has read, write and execute access; the destination drive has approximately 143 GB free.
The EA Background Service logs show:

Message: zero byte archive
Returned archiveSize: null
Downloaded bytes: 0
The download-information API requests return HTTP 200, but the returned archive size is null.

Could an EA community manager investigate the FC 27 download package metadata and advise whether my purchase entitlement needs to be checked by EA Help? I cannot install the game. Please let me know the next steps. Thank you.
