FC 27 Ping Increased from 8ms to 60ms on Zain Fiber Jordan

Hello EA Support Team,

I am a FC 27 player from Jordan using Zain Fiber, and I am experiencing a sudden and persistent ping issue in Ultimate Team.

What happened:

  • My ping was consistently around 8 ms before the issue started.
  • I suddenly began experiencing severe speed lag.
  • After that, my ping increased to approximately 60–66 ms in every Ultimate Team match.
  • The issue has persisted since the sudden change.

What makes this concerning:

Other Zain Fiber subscribers in Jordan appear to be experiencing the same issue at approximately the same time. Meanwhile, players using other ISPs, including Vital and JCS, reportedly still get around 8 ms.

I have also seen reports that the recommended matchmaking region is showing Southern Europe 1 instead of the Middle East region that previously provided much lower ping.

My general internet connection and download speed are fine. The problem appears to concern in-game latency, matchmaking region selection, or network routing.

Could EA please investigate whether there has been a recent change affecting matchmaking regions or game data center selection for players in Jordan, particularly those using Zain Fiber?

I would appreciate confirmation of whether this is a known issue and whether a fix is being investigated.

Country: Jordan
ISP: Zain Fiber
Game mode: Ultimate Team
Previous ping: Approximately 8 ms
Current ping: Approximately 60–66 ms
Issue started: October 2026

Thank you.

I’m experiencing exactly the same issue with Zain Fiber in Amman, Jordan, on PS5.

I was consistently getting 6–8 ms ping on Middle East 1 servers, but over the past few days, my ping has suddenly increased to 70–80 ms, and I now appear to be connecting to West European servers.

I’ve already contacted Zain, and they claim there are no issues on their end. However, multiple Zain Fiber customers are reporting the exact same problem, while players using VTEL in Jordan are reportedly still getting around 6 ms.

This strongly suggests a routing, peering, or EA server-selection issue specifically affecting Zain customers.

EA, could you please escalate this to your network engineering team and investigate why Zain Jordan players are no longer connecting to the same low-latency Middle East servers?

This is clearly not an isolated connection issue, and restarting routers or changing DNS settings will not address the underlying problem.

We would appreciate an official response and investigation rather than generic troubleshooting instructions.
