Severe online input delay in FC 27 on PC - Russia / Rostelecom / 30-40 ms ping

Hello.

I am experiencing severe and inconsistent input delay in EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team on PC, especially in Rivals.

Location: Yelets district, Lipetsk region, Russia.
ISP: Rostelecom.
Connection: 1 Gbps Gaming plan, wired Ethernet.
Platform: PC.

My in-game ping is usually around 30-40 ms, but online gameplay often feels like 150+ ms.

Player switching is delayed, passes and tackles are executed late, jockeying and turning feel extremely heavy, and players often continue their current movement or animation before performing the command I already entered.

The important part is that offline gameplay is normal. I can play Squad Battles, including Legendary difficulty, and the controls feel responsive. When I enter Rivals, the gameplay immediately becomes much heavier even with 30-40 ms displayed ping.

FC 26 worked normally on the same PC, same internet connection and same ISP. 30-40 ms in FC 26 felt completely playable.

I also tested the FC 27 Side-by-Side Input Overlay. Local Input reacts immediately, while Online Response is visibly delayed. In some situations the Online Response has already registered the command, but the footballer performs the action noticeably later.

I have already tested V-Sync off, 120 FPS cap, lower graphics settings, dynamic resolution off, motion blur off, different DNS settings and network equipment restarts. None of these fixed the online delay.

I also tested alternative routing using GearUP Booster.

With my normal connection I usually get around 30-40 ms, but gameplay is often extremely heavy.

Routing through Warsaw showed a higher ping of around 60-70 ms, but for several matches the gameplay became much more responsive and the muddy feeling almost disappeared. Unfortunately the improvement was inconsistent and the heavy gameplay later returned.

Frankfurt felt significantly worse. Helsinki was slightly better than Frankfurt but still not properly playable. Warsaw was the only route that sometimes produced clearly responsive gameplay.

Because of this, I suspect that the issue may involve routing, peering, game data center selection, online synchronization or server-side responsiveness rather than raw ping alone.

The main problem is that FC 27 online responsiveness does not correspond to the displayed ping.

30-40 ms direct connection can feel almost unplayable, while 60-70 ms through an alternative route can sometimes feel much more responsive.

I have also seen other players from Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe reporting very similar issues.

Please investigate FC 27 routing and game data center selection for Rostelecom and Russian players, as well as online input synchronization and cases where low displayed ping does not match actual gameplay responsiveness.

I can provide gameplay videos with the Side-by-Side Input Overlay, screenshots of routing tests and examples of both responsive and unresponsive matches.

Thank you.

Players from CIS countries are facing exactly the same issue. It started in FC 26 in August and now same issue in FC 27.
