Connection Lost After Scoring Goal in 1v1 (Error 0x04000000)

Hello EA team,

I would like to report a suspicious incident that happened while I was playing a 1v1 match. During the game, I scored a goal, but it was not recorded on the scoreboard. Shortly after that, an error message appeared saying “Connection Error 0x04000000”, even though my internet connection was stable. I suspect that my opponent might have used a cheat or exploit that caused my connection to be forcibly disconnected. Please review my opponent’s account and investigate the possibility of using illegal programs or bug abuse. Thank you.

    Your internet connection stability may not be in question here. It could be an issue on the upstream provider end of your ISP, or the opponent had a network problem, or the potato mode on EA servers kicked in. The H2H connectivity construct has a lot of variability, and issues can arise in many places. Some can be on your end, some in interconnecting networks, some on the opponent’s side, and some EA’s issue.

    If you believe this was related to a cheat or exploit, report the suspected cheater in-game as per the current process. Forums cannot help with such investigations.
