Fc Mobile: Persistent Control and Input Responsiveness Issues

Dear EA SPORTS FC Mobile Development and Technical Support Teams,

I am writing to report persistent control, input responsiveness, player movement, and connectivity issues that have significantly affected my experience playing EA SPORTS FC Mobile, particularly in Head-to-Head (H2H) matches.

These problems have occurred repeatedly and have made it difficult to control my players reliably, defend effectively, and compete fairly. Below are the specific issues I have experienced.

1. Joystick Freezing and Unresponsive Directional Controls

The joystick sometimes becomes unresponsive, causing my players to continue running in one direction despite my attempts to redirect them. For example, my player may continue running towards the right, even when I try to move the joystick in another direction, sometimes running all the way to the touchline.

This makes it extremely difficult to maintain control of my players and react appropriately to situations during matches.

2. Incorrect Player Movement and Unintended Actions

There are occasions when my players do not move in the direction I indicate with the joystick. Even when I move the joystick forward, my player may move or pass in an unintended direction.

These inconsistencies make it difficult to predict how my players will respond to my inputs and can result in losing possession or conceding goals.

3. Delayed or Unregistered Button Inputs

Commands sometimes fail to produce the expected response, even when I press the relevant buttons repeatedly.

For example, when I press CLEAR under pressure, my player may fail to clear the ball promptly or appear not to respond at all. Similarly, when I press SHOOT in front of goal, my player may pass instead of shooting.

These problems are particularly frustrating in critical match situations, where a delayed or incorrect action can determine the outcome of a game.

I have also tried changing settings, including Auto Play and Auto-Pass & Shoot, but these adjustments have not resolved the problems.

4. Unintended Sliding Tackles

My players sometimes perform sliding tackles even when I have not deliberately pressed the controls intended to trigger that action.

This disrupts my defensive positioning, leaves spaces for opponents to exploit, and makes it difficult to defend consistently.

5. Delayed Player Reactions and Recovery

My players sometimes take an unusually long time to respond to commands, execute actions, or recover after sliding or tackling.

Even when I input commands promptly, my players may react too slowly to situations that require immediate action. This can leave them vulnerable to opponents and make defending unnecessarily difficult.

6. Inconsistent Player Responsiveness During Matches

I have experienced matches in which my players become unusually sluggish and unresponsive, particularly when trying to pass or react to the opponent.

For example, I have experienced a situation where I was leading 2–0, but my players subsequently became slow to respond, and my passes appeared delayed. Meanwhile, my opponent appeared to move and react normally. The opponent eventually equalised and won the match.

I cannot determine the cause of this difference in responsiveness, but I believe it warrants investigation, especially when considered alongside the other control issues I have experienced.

I am not claiming that the game deliberately favours one player over another. I am reporting what I observed during gameplay and asking EA to investigate why these inconsistencies occur.

7. In-Game Lag and Unexpected Disconnections

I also experience lag during matches and instances where the game unexpectedly disconnects or logs me out, sometimes ending the match and resulting in a loss.

These incidents have occurred even when my internet connection appears stable.

Unexpected disconnections are particularly frustrating in H2H matches because they can cause me to lose without being able to complete the match normally. I would appreciate an investigation into whether server stability, network handling, or other technical problems could be contributing to these incidents.

I understand that a connection can experience problems even when it appears stable on my device. However, I would appreciate an investigation rather than an assumption that these incidents are necessarily caused by my internet connection.

8. The Overall Impact on H2H Gameplay

The combination of joystick freezing, incorrect directional movement, delayed or unregistered inputs, unintended sliding, slow player reactions, lag, and unexpected disconnections has significantly affected my H2H experience.

H2H gameplay depends on responsive controls, predictable player behaviour, and a reliable connection. When players fail to respond correctly to commands or matches are interrupted by unexpected disconnections, it becomes difficult to compete effectively.

These recurring problems have caused frustration and have affected my ability to enjoy the game.

What I Am Requesting

I respectfully ask the EA SPORTS FC Mobile development and technical support teams to:

1. Investigate the joystick freezing and directional-control problems, including instances where players continue moving in the wrong direction.

2. Examine incorrect or delayed player actions, including unintended passes, failure to clear the ball, and passing instead of shooting.

3. Investigate unintended sliding tackles and delayed player reactions or recovery.

4. Examine inconsistent player responsiveness during matches.

5. Investigate in-game lag and unexpected disconnections, including incidents that occur when my internet connection appears stable.

6. Assess whether game optimisation, device compatibility, server-side issues, network handling, or other technical factors could be contributing to these problems.

7. Provide a substantive response addressing these specific concerns and escalate the report to the appropriate technical team if necessary.

I am reporting these issues because they have occurred repeatedly and have significantly affected my ability to control my players and compete in H2H matches.

I would appreciate a proper investigation into these specific symptoms rather than a generic response attributing all the problems to my internet connection.
