Passing is shooting at times

Why is it at times when you hit the through ball pass it the player automatically decides to just shoot? When you tap on the screen so the player can cross lobby pass it just through passes to the op...

I think the opposite also happens sometimes.. when I click shoot on a cross pass from left or right and then click shoot button it just taps the ball back to the same direction where it was passed from
