Player exchange not accepting required card

I bought a 106 LW Samuel Eto'o for the player exchange but it is not accepted as a 106 Samuel Eto'o

    The player required for the exchange is Eto'o from the Star Pass. Not the one you bought.

Top left. It says Star Pass Evolution. That exchange acts more like an upgrade and not exchange. I use it for Stoichkov and I was gonna use it for Eto'o but I wasn't impressed with him and end up exchanging it for shards. I know its not visible.
