Can anyone help me?

I’ve been struggling with something during offense in matches, and I’m not sure if it’s just me.

Every time I try to build up a play, my AI teammates keep running straight into crowded areas — often into the middle of defenders — even when there’s a lot of space on the wings or behind the line. It makes it almost impossible to pass forward. Sometimes they even stop moving when they have a clear run. They also sometimes block my passing or shooting lanes by standing right in front of the ball, or run up next to me and kick the ball away or steal it like they’re not on my side.

This keeps happening no matter what I do. Is there a setting I’m missing? Or is this just how the AI behaves in this game?
