Enough of the FCM caste system

With the introduction of the Signatures badge EA has really outdone itself. With all previous badges we could all earn our way to at least the Lvl 1 or 2 of a badge and reap the benefits of the associated bonuses. But with Signatures only those who previously purchased the specified players appear to have access (or am I missing something???). This is a prime example of the way in which EA is creating an FCM caste system. The rich, who were able to buy these players in the first place will only get richer, as the Signature badge offers HUGE bonuses and enable them to win more and better rewards. Meanwhile, the rest of us just fall further and further behind.

There is no other way to say it — this situation is disrespectful, humiliating, and totally unacceptable. Why should any self-respecting F2P user continue to grind when we are treated like second-class citizens? Given the changes EA has made over the last 6 months, we no longer have any hope of competing with P2Pers — NONE, zilch, nada. This is incredibly demotivating (and it just adds insult to injury when EA continues to match us with P2Pers in Division Rivals!). You could be forgiven for thinking that EA only keeps the F2Pers around to provide sport for P2Pers — mere cannon fodder for the rich and powerful.

I don’t know about others, but I’ve about had it with being taken for granted by a multi-million dollar company that can’t seem to code a decent game anymore. I’ve logged in everyday for 18 months and I feel completely disrespected by the game’s developers because they’ve presented me with no viable path for remaining competitive without spending hundreds of dollars. Meanwhile, the latest update has made the actual matchplay sludgier and less fun than it’s ever been. Somebody from EA please explain to me how they can square all of the above? Seriously, I would love to hear their side of this because I see nothing but naked greed behind all of this — no value placed on making the game great and certainly no priority placed on the FCM community. 😡

  • They are keeping all the legendary players in the box leaving nothing for f2p players. I requested to have a normal version of those signature cards for f2p players but I wonder if it was passed on.

Yeah, I seconded your request cuz I thought it was a righteous ask. Not a peep from EA in response.

So sick and tired of their disrespect for F2P community. They take us totally for granted.

  • my tots team 125 ovr dont go forward versus the avarage team too so i dont know Ai working good or not in the game but, i feel disadvantage, and i what is the most incredible i cant change tots player for utots i didnt get enough player nothing i spend 180.000 gems only give 115 3 and 117 1. Bro honestly enough. I've seen you complaining here since TOTY. If you're still complaining that itself is a sign to stop. It's just not worth your time or peace man. It's a game and it's supposed to be fun at the end of the day. If it's causing constant stress to you and making you complain endlessly it's not for you. See EA never asked any of us to keep playing the game. Either you continue by taking the game lightly or stop playing altogether. There's more to life and bigger things to worry about than fc mobile. Again the decision is up to you. EA won't ever change. They have one goal in their minds and they're working solely for that. It's a really disappointing state of affairs but why would you stay if you keep getting disrespected by the game.

If there are no consumers, there is nothing to sell? Has this game now become a game for the elite and is geared towards elite moneybags? What about your money, your time and the rest of it?

  • EA is gradually including a PAID system in the game. It's the death of free-to-play. Why do we stay here? I can't even get a 120-rated player in the drafts. My team is still made up of 117-rated players. The sharding system is a disgrace.

Yep. And (as I’ve said many times before) I would be willing to pay an annual fee for a game that is consistently fun to play. But I refuse to pay the extortionate prices EA has set for meta players when the gameplay is rubbish. The shelf life on these cards is maybe two months at best (and getting shorter all the time) and the prices are outrageous.

EA has created what is effectively a very expensive HAMSTER WHEEL. Users spend money but never actually get anywhere because the players will just get nerfed next month when they introduce the next event. In the past at least you could opt to “grind” — meaning F2Pers could spend time instead of money to get maybe 75% of the rewards obtained by the P2Pers. But that’s all changed in recent months. The grind no longer guarantees you even 50% of what P2Pers can buy and that means we can longer remain competitive. So what’s the point???

I’ve played EA games for over 30 years. I’ve owned many titles. I used to think they provided excellent entertainment value for the money. I’m not posting simply to whine and moan. I know EA and FCM can be better than what it currently is because it’s been better in the past! The worldwide community of football fans and the community that’s grown up around FCM deserve a return to what used to make this title (and, indeed, most EA games) great. Focus on making matchplay realistic and fun and stop trying to con us with elaborate “shell” games. Most of us don’t have hundreds of dollars to waste on cards that become outdated within a couple of months. If there has to be a paywall then at least give us reasonable value for our money with consistent matchplay and cards that hold their value for longer than the blink of an eye.
