I hold out almost no hope of EA making 4k shards obtainable without spending $$$. We just saw them nerf the drop rates for rare players in the Ragnarok event in order to try and drive users to spend. Many of us were grinding that entire event and never got more than 1k shards in either chapter (personally, I never got a card over 107 in dozens of packs I opened). At least with TOTS you could land at least one top player without spending, but it seems like they’ve made the decision to put top rewards out of the reach of regular (non-P2P) users. It feels like a slap in the face if you ask me since we represent the vast majority of FC Mobile users, but I think it says a lot about EA’s priorities. They’ve neglected improving the playability of this app in favor of running it like a casino for “gamblers” chasing the rush of packing rare cards.
