Unfair and Abnormal Shuffle Card Pack in Greatest Captain Event

Dear EA FC Mobile

I would like to report an issue regarding the Shuffle card pack system in the Greatest Captain event, which I believe is abnormal and unfair to players. I also have video evidence attached to support this report.

I performed a total of 13 shuffles, spending 1,800 Shuffle Points. According to the system, all players should have equal chances of being drawn. However, the outcome shows that only 5 players appeared repeatedly, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi never appeared even once.

Here are my results:

  1. Maldini (CB) Captains Pack
  2. Cruyff (ST) Shuffle Exchange
  3. Gerrard (CM) "
  4. Maldini (CB) "
  5. Lahm (LB) "
  6. Cruyff (ST) "!
  7. Cruyff (ST) "!
  8. Van Dijk (CB) "!!
  9. Van Dijk (CB) "!!
  10. Maldini (CB)
  11. Lahm (LB)
  12. Van Dijk (CB)
  13. Gerrard (CM)

Summary:

  • Maldini = 3 times
  • Cruyff = 3 times
  • Van Dijk = 3 times
  • Gerrard = 2 times
  • Lahm = 2 times

The abnormal points are:

  • Too many duplicates (e.g., #6–7, #8–9 gave the same player consecutively)
  • No Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi at all
  • Additionally, none of the following positions ever appeared: CAM, CDM, RB, GK, LW, RW. This strongly reinforces that the shuffle rate is not transparent or fair.

My request:
I am not asking for a refund of the real money I spent, but I do expect fairness. Therefore, I request EA to compensate me with Captains Shards (or provide an alternative fair compensation).

I kindly ask the team to investigate this matter and provide a transparent explanation, as fairness and trust are essential for the players’ experience.

Thank you for your attention.

  • Sorry to hear you’re getting hosed by EA (although I can’t say I’m surprised because the game is rigged), but wanted to recommend you immediately take down your UID from this public forum as it could compromise the security of your account. If, in the unlikely event you get an actual reply from an EA staff person then they can collect your credentials in a private chat.

  • Hardly surprising, also, we all know what sort of compensation is expected. I would remove the UID, mate.

    Blxckpcs ,

I think you should keep doing the experiments (card draws) because the sample size you’ve done so far is way too small, so the results aren’t convincing. If you want to disprove the rates they’ve given (which I also want), I hope you can run more experiments — at least two or three hundred draws. If the probabilities really turn out to be inaccurate, you could even sue EA, maybe get your money back, or even earn compensation. Most importantly, that would give us a strong reason to boycott EA.

umm you expect a P2W to spend more money so you can make an informative decision? You want a specific sample, spend your own money, mate. Or better yet, there is a F2P variant for you to play with. Save up LOTS of gems, then play the casino in the say 2.5k market and see how many repeats you get from the lowest cards within a week. I bet that you will see similar results.

    There are two issues here:

    1. The drop rates for the 2.5k gem packs are not very clear. Some are listed as “<1%”, which makes it difficult to use them as solid proof.
    2. You need to think long-term. If spending a little extra money now (which might even be recoverable later) can potentially cause bigger losses for EA, then why not?

Anyway, the main point is that the moderator already suspects the probabilities are off (and I agree), so I just followed up on that and continued the discussion. You asked why I don’t spend the money myself? Simply because I don’t have it. And even if I did, I wouldn’t waste it here. But since there are people who have spare money to burn, isn’t it better that they do it?

Facepalm. OP isn’t a moderator—those are EA employees or carefully selected volunteers who wouldn’t post about unfairness in drop rates for paid packs (regardless of whether it’s an accurate statement or not).

Meanwhile, you’re still asking others to throw their money into what looks the way it looks — all while saying you can’t afford it and don’t trust the drop rates, then flip-flopping by saying if you had cash to burn, you wouldn’t spend it anyway. That’s not “long-term thinking,” that’s classic Gen Z entitlement wrapped in a load of BS

Expecting people with “money to burn” to spend just get to watch and prove what’s already visible — including the similar patterns in free gem packs — is honestly plain ridiculous. The OP’s video and the similar reports speak louder than your argumentative barking at the moon about the long picture.
EA losing money may drive many things, including but not limited to, fixing the bad drop rates, making it compulsory to spend money or dropping FCM completely.
