OVR Reduction

Hello EA FC Mobile Team,

I recently signed the new 122 OVR Philipp Lahm and have been really enjoying using him. However, I noticed an issue with his positional compatibility.

Historically, Philipp Lahm was one of the most versatile defenders in football. Throughout his career, he successfully played as a RB, LB, CDM, RWB, and LWB at the highest level. In FC Mobile, he already has RB as his natural position and LB as an alternate position, but when used at LWB he still receives an OVR reduction.

I'm not asking for any stat or PlayStyle changes. My concern is that the OVR reduction might also affect his overall effectiveness, such as AI positioning, defensive recovery, or movement, even though LWB is a role he was fully capable of playing in real life.

I kindly request that his positional compatibility be reviewed so he can play at LWB without an unnecessary OVR penalty, reflecting both his real-life versatility and his role in the game.

Thank you for your time and for continuing to improve EA FC Mobile.

  • LWB, RWB and CF were discontinued approx 2 years ago, if I remember correctly. And at the time, the rules set were that only the default position does not get an OVR penalty, alternative one does:

RB in RWB: No OVR loss. Your RB keeps its full OVR when played at RWB.
LB in LWB: No OVR loss. Your LB keeps its full OVR when played at LWB.
RB in LWB (or LB in RWB): This is still considered out of position, so you'll get an OVR penalty.
CAM or ST in CF: No OVR loss

Historical nuances specific to some other versatile players have worked in the same manner historically.
Some good examples are: Zambrotta 117 RB (LB alt) in LWB has OVR loss, Puyol CB (RB alt) used as RWB has OVR loss.
Try putting Gullit CM in the CF position, the same thing across the whole lot of his CM cards, OVR loss.
