Teams with equal stats play with the same cards in VSA

so how can 118-rated goalkeepers make more and better saves than 121-rated Cech and Buffon? What was the point of acquiring them if 118-rated keepers have now been boosted? I don't think it's fair that Cech has a lower save rate in matches than Bounou, Courtois, or anyone else... Is this a case of "non-meta" goalkeepers outperforming the best, or what is going on with the game and its mechanics? Can't you even rely on your goalkeeper anymore?
