Am I? The signing shard value of the UCL live OVR cards was sitting at the base value. As an example that got me a good head start with signing shards.  Safonov directly in the signings was showing his worth as the base, and it would give you 75 shards only.

Given that UCL cards were released under Phase 2 Token, pretty much everyone I know claimed as many Safonovs as possible, as you could go via that path and get 150 Phase 2 Tokens and then convert the Phase 2 Tokens to signing shards (x15 multiplayer), netting you 2250 per Safonov, and I claimed 4 or 5 of them because I grinded the event and kept the most of the UCL tokens.

At the time, EA allowed it, but the newer cards are not in the P2T exchange, and a statement was made that moving forward, the shard value for live OVR will stay at the base values. This question came up again with this round of live OVR, and it was confirmed that this is as designed. So, seeing e.g 115 base, updated to 117 Kai, only offering 300 shards is expected (115 = 300 shards).

So, you get to use the live OVR players in exchanges, etc., Shards-wise, it's the same value as when the cards have been released.
Until EA changes the logic/design, it will stay that way.
The rationale behind the decision is another matter, and appropriate feedback was forwarded to devs already.

  • It was raised at the start of the event. Apparently, it is by design. You get more badge experience and get to use it in the exchanges (upgrades) to other cards, but you do not get more shards.

Yes, it's annoying, and it has been fed back to devs.

Sad so the devs really cut off ways a ftp player can almost reach the level of ptp players so sad

In the last event we all did there was an exchange just like this and immediately their level rose so did their shards or the tokens and I was happy because I didn't have much on me but that really helped my club a lot because I was missing a great st but I couldn't afford it and such made me too because I had multiple of same events and I bought my player I wanted

    Please bring such back

Currently my old players can't compete with utoy and new cards with play style because of the massive amount of boosts in stats and additional play styles

The same thing was done in UCL with live OVR cards... so, not a new thing.

    You are wrong

If you really did this event you would know that each was low but immediately it leveled it went high

Apparently it doesn't count towards badge progression. The exp shows an increase in the badge section but it doesn't add to the progression

A perfect upcoming opportunity for people to test it (not that I can do that anymore).  But if you claimed the 115's from Spain/France. Make a note of your badges' progress and then hold off on claiming anything player-wise to see if your badge counter has increased.

I did that. I'm missing 180 exp. Please once check my post. I'd posted about the same issue
