If you experience any similar issues, start with the standard quick checks first:
- Fully close FC Mobile and clear the game cache.
- Restart the device and router.
- Test one VSA match on Wi-Fi and one on mobile data, if possible.
- Note whether it happens only during peak evening/weekend hours or also off-peak.
If it still happens, please post some addiotnal info like:
- Device model and OS version
- Game version
- Region/state and ISP/mobile carrier
- Connection type: Wi-Fi, mobile data, 5GHz Wi-Fi, etc.
- Time/date/timezone of affected matches
- Whether H2H/Manager Mode show the same behavior or only VSA

I completed steps 1 and 2, but still encountered VSA with ping of +80ms at 2:50pm PST.
I’m playing on a 9th generation iPad running OS 26.4.2. The device is not 5G capable, so I play exclusively using Wi-Fi and am typically no more than 10 feet from my router. The best I can do to test whether a mobile connection improves ping is to use my phone as a hotspot and connect my iPad via Wi-Fi. I’m no expert, but I suspect this is pointless as it would only magnify the latency issue. Maybe you can tell me if I’m wrong about that.I’m using game version 26.2.02 (which I believe is the latest update). Xfinity/Comcast is my ISP here in northern California. I just ran an independent speed test and my download is 303 mbps and upload is 18 mbps with a 19ms ping. I also just played a H2H match (around 3pm, PST on 5/13) and my ping in-match was virtually identical (around 30ms) as when I was in the waiting room. That said, the H2H match still felt pretty laggy and, honestly, just not very rewarding/fun.
I’ll play a few more matches this evening and post an update as to whether any of the above changes, but the bottom line at the moment is that something definitely appears be “off” with VSA, whereas H2H is performing about the same as it always has.

Played two more VSA matches, this time at 11:00pm PST. The first match my ping was +45ms (an improvement), but it jumped back up to +95ms in the second. These matches were played only a few minutes apart. The first match still felt sluggish (at one point a ball just inexplicably rolled through my player’s legs). The second was obviously worse.

1440666fd7e443ec Further to what Pulsar said, can you screen record? I had a chat with gameplay devs about your issue, so they'd like to have a look at what you are seeing on the screen so they can have a yarn with the network guys. Flick me a DM so we can sort the vids logistics offline. Also, your cable modem, is it DOCSIS 4.0 capable or are you still on 3.x?
Also, hotspotting off a mobile isn't pointless, it's likely connecting via another network if your mobile provider is different to your cable provider. Who is it? And what speeds do you get doing speedtest on your mobile?- 1440666fd7e443ec4 hours agoSeasoned Ace

Just played VSA at 10 pm PST and once again encountered +90ms ping. Game was laggy and the app crashed just as I finished my last possession (before the results page loaded). App glitch or possible sign my opponent was cheating? Either way it was another miserable experience — virtually impossible to win.
