Auto substitution not working for alternate skills

I noticed that some player do not get auto substituted even when their health is red. For example Aimar 121 cam in a cam position will not be replaced with Kuyt 119 cm/cam/rw (rank 5).

Any ideas why?

    I think auto sub works only for base positions (cam for cam, rw for rw etc.)
