I've somehow fixed the issue, dont know how though. Here what I tried:
Reinstalled the app
Opened the game with Turbo VPN
Change the graphics settings to the lowest
Linked every possible account to my ID (EA, Game Center, Apple ID)
Deleted all the additional lineupsAfter doing these steps, I was able to play the event without any errors.
