did you do any of the special strategies previously listed or no?

@duskdown Thanks...worked for me. When I went to Steam, it recognized my EA Play membership. I just had to press the play now button and the game started downloading. Thanks EA!!!...for nothing lol smh
how did you link ea and steam?
Got in touch with ea through the chat and they couldn't do *. "you're the first person who reported this issue!" *, they just don't look at the forums apparently. What do these people get paid to do?
i don’t think u have to bro just go to steam and go to madden it should say join now but if u click out of that then go back to ea and try to download it then it should work. This worked for me but idk. None of the special strategies above did anything but feel free to try.

You dont need to link it. Steam should automatically see you EA play subscription
It was doing the same thing all day yesterday. It finally downloaded it and now it won’t launch says EA anti cheat is running.
im with you , but even if we didnt purchase the game , we are still paying for a service that is not being provided . we were to get the 10 hrs trial 2 days ago and still stuck on preparing .
Uhhh so it doesn't appear to work like that for me. I have EA play through EA not steam. Would you happen to have EA play on steam and not EA desktop?

Wanted to follow up on those who are not able to download the game due to the game being stuck in a "preparing" state. If you are still having an issue with the download itself being in this stuck state, please provide the following info below.
Game Purchases
SpoilerLog into profile.ea.com to make sure there are no pending transactions.
Under Order History, check and see if there are any canceled, pending, or processing transaction IDsEA Play Subscription
SpoilerIf you are trying to download the trial on PC, or console, Please make sure that you have an active EA Play subscription linked to the console/PC and that your EA account is properly linked to the correct console account.If you are having a separate issue with the game, I.E. Not launching, missing content, etc, please check the main threads Here and post your info on one of the threads you see.
