I’m waving the white flag as I’m tired of trying to get this game to work. I literally bought a new gpu to get this game to work.I started to realize that the game itself is utilizing CPU instead of the GPU. I have an i5 7600k which can handle this game however the game is utilizing the CPU instead of the GPU. I don’t think this problem can be fixed anytime soon and developers might need MONTHS to resolve this issue.

@EA_Barry hey there thanks for responding. However my connection is already to the GPU and those settings are set as well. I noticed many others also facing similar issues. Will there be a patch at some point to fix this? I’ve purchased the game early and haven’t been able to play it yet because of this and nobody has given me a solution yet.

I'm having the same exact issue and I've seen many other posts on here and Reddit stating the same. We really need a fix to this asap - spending $70 on a game to not utilize the GPU is absurd.I've ensured that the graphic settings are specifically set to use the GPU and had no difference, still 0 to 1% usage while the CPU is 80%+.

Replying to bump this to the top again. Insane this has not been fixed yet.

@EA_Barry BUMP!This is unacceptable we all have had the same issue here with the game WAY overworking the CPU. Is the Dev team aware of the issue? Do they know how to code the game to use any GPU? When can we expect a patch for the game to actually be playable? We need and deserve answers!

Make sure your display is connected to the GPU and not the motherboard video output.

Check your settings via the GPU control panel too, you can explicitly specify that the GPU be used on a game by game basis.

@tonys526 Same issue here. I considered upgrading parts but realized this occurs almost every year with madden. Not to mention I play AAA games with no issues

EA acting like our PC's specs are the problem... I wouldn't have bought the game if my PC was below the recommend pc specs you (EA) attached to the game... Stop blaming the customers and blame the people who coded it poorly and clearly didn't even test the "recommend specs" If you are above the recommended the game should run well end of story. If you meet the minimum settings you should expect it to run bad but I'm well above the recommended specs. The issue is the worst in online H2H games I have noticed it still happens in solos but not as often.
