Basically the title. Is there a way to fix this that I'm unaware of? The controller works with every game I own, including previous iterations of Madden, so it's definitely a M24 issue.

That did not help at all. I use EA app and it just does not recognize the buttons as it should. Tried everything you said and everything that is online about this. How can i get the refund for the game?

If you have madden on steam go to your controler properties for madden and enable steam input.

I recently bought madden nfl 24 through the EA app. I tried to play with my controller, but the buttons are all switched up and i cannot do anything to make them work. I have tried everything I found on the internet such as Similar Question and tutorial but nothing seems to work. I am desperate and very mad with this whole situation. What can I do?

@Agent_RS I have the same issue and do not have Steam installed so it doesn't seem to be a Steam problem. Every time I launch Madden 24 the controller is not recognized and I'm forced to use the keyboard and mouse. The controller works with all other games I play with no issues. I haven't been able to play for 2 weeks after purchasing. So frustrating.

Hey there!

We are aware of this issue and currently looking into it! In the meantime we have some questions and a potential solution for you!

Do you have Steam running in the background? Quitting steam may resolve the issue.

If Steam is running what do your Controller settings look like? You can find them by going to Settings > Controller. A screenshot of them would be helpful.

Should look like the attached image below.

If you have any external gamepad settings enabled you can also try turning them off.

It would also be helpful to know if you have any "Desktop Configurations" in your "Desktop Layout" menu. A screenshot of this screen would be helpful too. These desktop configurations are known to interfere with the game if they're active, though disabling the external gamepad settings for whatever controller you're using should negate this.

@Agent_RS It's not our controllers, read the posts. It's the game. What do we do to fix it so we can play the game that we paid money for? Anything? Or are we just dicked

My controller just recently stopped working. It played fine all day Sunday sept. 24th but went to play some on Oct 1 and it’s just didn’t work. I have no idea what to do and I have almost 100 hrs into it.
